Why this site exists
Most comparison and directory sites are written to rank, not to help. They pad pages with adjectives, bury the price, and quietly reorder the list based on commission. We built AIToolsDir to do the opposite: short pages, stated prices, honest limitations.
How tools get listed
Tools are included because someone actually uses them for the stated job — not because they trended on social media for a week. We remove entries when a product is discontinued, pivots away from its core use case, or stops being usable without an enterprise contract.
How we research
Every entry is compiled from publicly available vendor documentation, published pricing pages, feature changelogs, and hands-on notes. Where we could not verify something directly, we say so rather than guessing.
Our editorial independence
We may earn revenue through advertising or affiliate links. Vendors have no input into our conclusions, and no vendor has paid to be listed or ranked. If we ever get something wrong, we fix it and note the correction.
